July 2011 News from Trueheart Alpacas Farm! |
July 16, 2011: Aria delivered her second Snowstorm cria in a row right on time, a huge 23.3 lbs beige boy and full brother to our Trueheart’s Peruvian Valor. Beautifully crimpy, huge bone, and a blush across the head and back, we are thinking of just the right name for this surefire future herdsire. We continue to be thrilled with the babies we are getting from Snowstorm and this boy continues that streak. Believe it or not, these are pictures of him under one day old!

October 2010 News from Trueheart Alpacas Farm! |
October 10, 2010: Andrea has been a solid producer for us and delivered again with a Snowstorm boy on a cool Sunday. This is the full sibling to herd favorite and 2 x blue ribbon winner, Adagia a.k.a. Gia. Friendly like his sister and dashing with the typical typey Snowstorm head and solid frame, we named him Dantes after the Count of Monte Cristo. Why? It just seemed right..

August 2010 News from Trueheart Alpacas Farm! |
August 12, 2010: Torey quietly delivered an amazing Snowstorm daughter early Thursday in her usual fashion: no fuss, no bother, and had her up and nursing before we even knew she'd arrived. By the end of the day, the baby was running with the other crias and astounding us with her precociousness. So it wasn't hard to arrive at a name: Alida (small winged one) is an ultra fine buttery beige, perfect conformation, and the stunning good looks you'd expect from this combo.

July 2010 News from Trueheart Alpacas Farm! |
July 4th, 2010: What do you get when you cross a 3x reserve champ Presidio daughter with our own EastWind’s Snowstorm? A beautiful, fine fawn boy at a robust 20.3 lbs at birth with the expected gorgeous head and heavy bone – and he picked a great day to arrive. Let the fireworks begin.

May 2010 News from Trueheart Alpacas Farm! |
May 19, 2010: We've watched the progression of Gia's first pregnancy with anticipation. After all, besides being a Snowstorm daughter, she's the herd favorite with a perfect blend of genetics, phenotype, and termperament. It was a huge relief when she delivered her first cria without incident and immediately demonstrated the instincts of a perfect mom. And what a baby! A beautiful rosy beige boy, absolutely correct, with fine silky fiber and an outstanding pedigree thanks to mom Gia and dad Accoyo Principe Dorato.
May 21, 2010: Amber produces black again and this time with silver grey MFI Toledo, a Mr. Know It All son. A beautiful black boy with dense, crimpy fiber. This cria is packed with grey and black genetics and shows all the promise of his parentage. A peek at his fiber is dazzling - so bright, it's almost reflective.

August 2009 News from Trueheart Alpacas Farm! |
August 19, 2009: Andrea has been a stellar dam for us and with the arrival of her latest cria, she's showing an amazing consistency to pass the particular strengths of the sire. The latest - a beautiful white female by HPA Peruvian Don Quixote - is so different from cria number one (Adagia) and number two (Raphael) but just as amazing. Thank you, Andrea!
August 10, 2009: You have to love a baby that watches the calendar! Right on time, Torey’s beautiful fawn boy arrived first thing Monday morning with an easy delivery. Up and active from the start at a hefty 21 lbs., this little one - Trueheart's Principe Defiant, as we've named him - was running in the pasture a few hours later. Dad is Accoyo Principe Dorato. The future looks very bright indeed.

May 28, 2009 : What do you get when you combine a 3-time RCC Presidio daughter with one of the premier Hemingway sons - PCA Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus from Pacific Crest? In this case, a white 20.1 lb. girl with knotty white fiber that is silky fine and dense. But it didn't come easy. Trueheart's Thisbe had to be pulled out of her first-time mom after a protracted and painful labor. Both mom and cria are doing fine now after a couple of days of constant TLC.

2008 News from Trueheart Alpacas Farm! |
October 16, 2008: To say that this baby was long in the making would be an understatement! We purchased one of the introductory breedings to Legend's Challenger of KPR. Since then, we have seen his star rise as he has produced
one spectacular baby after another. Finally, we have our own from our Compadre daughter, Amber. Have you ever seen a blacker baby? Absolutely no ventral fading or tipping, with the density boost and tight curl we were hoping for from the match. We're calling him Black Opus, a true masterwork in pitch black.

Snowmass Messiah's Angel |
September 9 , 2008: Congratulations to Pamela Ray, Xanadu Farm Alpacas, the new owner of Snowmass Messiah's Angel!
August 25, 2008: Last year, Andrea thrilled us with a gorgeous white girl by Eastwind's Snowstorm. This year, she topped herself with a little white boy made up of tiny, tight little knots of whisper-fine fiber. We've named him Raphael and he is truly a work of art deserving of the namesake.
July 17, 2008: After holding out 19 days past her due date, Torey finally delivered an incredibly curly little boy sired by El Nino's Accoyo Michelangelo. Dominic, as we've named him, was up in half an hour and looking picture perfect, just like all of Torey's babies. Good looks are common to all of Torey's babies, regardless of the sire.
March 2008: Congratulations to Stephanie and Stan Mize for choosing Trueheart's Pilar and Trueheart's Solace to start their foundation herd. We know they'll be super production dams for you and their babies by SCA Peruvian Magnum should be knockouts!
